Rachel and Ethan are one of those couples who are just meant to be, and you can tell! They are just the sweetest and we had a blast touring around downtown Des Moines for their engagement session! Because of these two, I am now obsessed with Parking Garage Locations and getting the Des Moines skyline! […]
Kelli and I planned this charming engagement session at the Magnolia Wine Kitchen just in time as it has sadly recently closed. I was really glad we got to utilize the beautiful space. It was the perfect atmosphere for this romantic Des Moines engagement session! I can’t wait for their wedding later on this year! When […]
Sarah and I have been planning this engagement session since before the holidays, and she knew right away that she wanted to have photos during the warmer seasons! With her wedding being in September, doing summer photos was going to be cutting it close! I threw out there that we could totally go to the […]
Ellen and Mack are one of the coolest couples I have ever met. Their energy and vibe was so energetic and upbeat! I knew right away that this engagement session was going to be a blast! They both tell me that they have never gotten professional photos together before, and then proceed to be mind […]
We had this grand morning all planned out. Kayla and Nick’s Des Moines Engagement Session was taking place at Grays Lake and would be at sunrise. We got there about 30 mins before the sun was to be out, planned the perfect spot. A few minutes before we decided to brave the cold and take […]
Today’s Iowa Engagement Session was a fun one indeed! Stephanie and Nathan decided to start out at the arcade bar Up Down, in the east village in downtown Des Moines. It was so neat and fun because this is where they had their first date! I love that personal touch they put into their engagement […]
It will be no surprise that this Historic East Village Engagement session is one of my top favorites! I have been anticipating Sarah and Jared’s engagement session like a kid on Christmas! When Sarah inquired about hiring me as her Iowa wedding photographer, we really hit it off! Conversation with her felt like talking to […]
I had so much fun getting to know Holly and Frank tonight! We braved the Iowa heat, which wasn’t too bad since we had a breeze. We started out at waterworks park where we took a few shots by the white barn and some nearby trees. One thing about waterworks is there is always sure to be other photographer, and this one was also shooting and engagement session, but they had their boom box going with some “mood music” haha! It was kinda funny, and awkward but made for a great laughing point. I might have to bring some mood music to Holly and Franks wedding portraits to see what they think of this new trend!
KayeLea and I have been planning for her engagement session for months now! We even went shopping for her engagement outfits, and I love what she chose!! Nice light and bright spring colors, that make the photos pop and make them look so nice and put together!
Yesterday we started our session at the West Des Moines Public Library, as there are some pretty trees around. Then I locked us all out of my car! Luckily I have know Rachelle for a very long time and were crazy super close besties back in the day! Josh was the only one who didnt leave his phone in the car and I was able to call my Dad, who gave me my husbands phone number, who then found spare keys and came to the rescue!
