Hello there, and welcome to another weekly wedding tip!  With Fall into full swing is has been crazy around here!  Last time we talked about the best shoes for brides, bridesmaids and photographers! If you missed out on that post you can catch up here! One of the things I have learned this past year is how important details are! But, not just any details, the ones that matter!  Your invitation suite and paper goods that you choose for your wedding are so special and photograph beautifully! To showcase the details of your day and make your wedding look classic and high end you need well crafted paper goods! I am so excited to have partnered up with this sponsored blog post with Basic Invite.

A Tip to making your invitations and paper goods look high end is to keep the design clean and simple. Use real flowers from your wedding and other important heirlooms to photograph with the invitation suite.

Basic Invites have so many beautiful invitations to choose from, among these are their new clear invitations and rose gold foil invitations. ( I wish I knew about these when I was getting married!!) They also have over 180 color options, and custom samples! You can go to their site and start putting yours together to see which ones you like best and their process is so easy!   I also highly recommend that you fill out all the sections, at the very least fill out where your names will be. I noticed that with certain fonts, your name may or may not read well. While I was testing out the system, I used a current bride and groom of mine’s names, Sarah and Jared. With the cursive font I had chosen Jared looked like Lared.  So always make sure to check for readability!

Another item that will be important to have on your wedding day is a guest book. This might not seem as important right now, but I really enjoyed going through my grandparents wedding guest book, and listening to them talking about who people were and reminiscing! As an Iowa Wedding Photographer, I know a big trend for guest books is to get your engagement photos printed as a book and then guests will write in them.  With good intentions, this does not always work the best, because some images are dark and do not show writing well, and can also be unorganized.

Basic Print has some beautiful personalized guest books. These customizable guest books have a ring hidden inside which allows them to lay perfectly flat for a classy and convenient look.  With sophisticated designed pages it’s the perfect opportunity for your wedding guests to leave sweet words and well wishes.

Other paper goods you should look into are guest books, place cards, and save the dates.

These are my tips on how you can use paper goods to really elevate the overall look of your wedding! As an Iowa wedding photographer I often see these simple details overlooked, and its such a shame! I love how beautiful invitations can be, and it really pulls the details all together!   If you have not already gotten any paper goods, I highly recommend Basic Invite! Go and check out their amazing range of options!
